Prof. dr hab. Jan Cholewa – Curriculum Vitae

Born in 1966; mathematical studies at University of Silesia in Katowice; master degree 1990; doctor of mathematics 1993, habilitation 2000, professor of mathematics 2009. In the years 2002-2005 vice-dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, University of Silesia in Katowice. Visiting research scientist in Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, U.S.A. (1997/98; Fulbright grant); Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain (twenty one scientific visits in the years 2001-2019); Universidade de Sao Paulo, Sao Carlos, Brazil (1999, 2005, 2009 and 2012; FAPESP grants), Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, Portugal (2007).
